Rabot 1745 Beauty Review
Hands up who else is a chocolate addict? I am obsessed with chocolate and even though I am on a strict wedding diet, I will never not allow myself to indulge in a little square of the good stuff every so often! So when it comes to adding a little cocoa to your skincare, I had to give it a go really didn’t I?! If you’ve never heard of Rabot 1745, you’re in for a treat!
Rabot 1745 Beauty is an incredible branch of the Hotel Chocolat brand who have been quietly working away at revolutionising chocolate and cocoa farming for centuries. If you’ve ever been to the Shard in London and hopped across the road to Borough Market, you’ll see a huge Rabot 1745 restaurant.
Your mind will be blown when you didn’t know all that you’ve been missing out on!
Rabot 1745 are at the forefront of sustainable cocoa farming and developed the Hotel Chocolat Range with this philosophy. Rabot 1745 is the incredible beauty range which was inspired by their love of Saint Lucia, the people and the indigenous plants there.
I have been lucky enough to receive the many hand creams in this range from Rabot 1745 and I have been in skincare heaven ever since!
Let’s talk flavours first shall we…
Avocado & Sour Orange Handcream – well first of all, it sounds good enough to eat! Secondly I know that anything with the natural fats of avocado in is going to be pure luxury! The scent isn’t over powering and the sour orange really zings on your knuckles! The almond oil is what sets this hand cream apart from its competitors – smooth, silky and luxurious!
Cocoa & Wild Honey – I think this is my FAVE of the entire range that I’ve tried! It has a gorgeous chocolate kick that hits you as soon as you give the little bottle a good squeeze and it feels like heaven on your hands. I’ve actually been using this handcream religiously on my hands, arms and elbows because it just gets down so deep and reaches those much needed dry areas! It not only smells like what I imagine St. Lucia to smell like but it feels like my skin is rejuvenated as if I’ve just spent two weeks on a sun drenched beach!
The Almond Chocolat Lip Balm is sent directly from heaven! This time of year is an absolute killer on my lips, they are also one of the first places to feel it when I get stressed too – I currently have a terrible habit of clenching my jaw, gritting my teeth and rubbing my lips when I’m stressed – am I the only one?
I use a loooooottttt of different lip balms – it makes my man laugh: I’ve got a morning lip balm, a post tooth brushing balm, a before bed within my nighttime routine balm; I have a balm in every single hand bag (I have quite a fewwww handbags I must admit) and I have one in every coat pocket. Lip moisture is big for me and my tiny little unenhanced pout!
This amazing lip balm from Rabot 1745 is packed with almond oil, cacao butter and rosemary leaf extract and every last ingredient adds a punch – and altogether, it smells insane!
I am 100% a chocolate addict but the reason why I am so thrilled to be working with such an incredible brand is because of their ethos, their message and their heritage!
