Who Are Maykari?

Created by a group of herbalists, chemists and hair professionals, Mayraki is the hair brand dedicated to helping us tackle those hair problems like thinning, scalp dryness, itchiness and hair loss.

I have personally struggled with hair thinning in the past. Years ago, when I was very stressed, my body told me before I realised. Not only was my hair dull, dry and lacklustre, it was also thinning and falling out.

The problem ended up resolving itself without any need for medical intervention or special treatments but I’ve been wary of stress and its effct on me ever since.

When the team are Mayraki approached me about featuring their hair loss formula, I was open to giving it a whirl.

The Mayraki Ethos

Unlike some hair competitor brands, Mayraki are passionate about what kind of ingredients are used in all of their products.

They believe that all haircare products, including shampoo, conditioners, hair sprays, serums and mousses, should be:
– paraben free
– sulphate free
– silicone free

Ingredients like these can be a contributing factor to hair loss. Maykari‘s ethos means that they never use these kinds of toxins in their products – something I am definitely here for.

It means that they use things like natural ingredients that give quick and visible results.

My First Impressions

Currently, I’ve used the Scalp Anti-Ageing Cleanser and Anti-Hair Loss Growth Shampoo a handful of times.

I like the pump on the bottles, super easy for judging your application amount and when your hands are all wet, nothing is slipping around.

The scalp cleanser is applied before shampoo and is clear in colour but elastic in texture. It doesn’t have a distinct smell, but it doesn’t smell bad either.

The shampoo is a foamy brown colour. I won’t lie, I was a bit shocked when I first pumped it out. However, the foam texture coats my hair really quickly and lathers in seconds.
