The Perfect Nail Range For Summer | Mavala Poolside Review & Giveaway!

Summer 2021 should be for taking every single opportunity that comes your way. There will no room for the word “no” this summer for me. We’ve had plenty of time to stay at home and be with our thoughts, now it’s time to explore have adventures and enjoy life with the people that we love once again. Mavala have relaunched their amazing Poolside collection to celebrate the summer of fun! Here is my full review for your eyes only…

Summer is the time to embrace big, bold colours as well as deep, long lasting polish to last all of the pub crawls you’ll be enjoying. You may remember my coverage of Poolside last summer, but get ready for even more for summer 2021!

Poolside delivers on all of those in spades!

Portofino

Pink dreams for summer, am I right? This shade is perfect for showing off your tan in early summer. I’ve been obsessed with this nail polish on my toes to pretend I’m on holiday. I love pinks for that transitional Spring/Summer bit when the weather just doesn’t play ball.

Phuket

Since becoming a blogger, I’ve found that blue can be really controversial in nails. I personally love blue, I often choose blue when I go for a pedicure and I love a pastel blue on my fingers when I’m feeling a bit sun kissed.

Phuket is gorgeous, it’s light and catches the light in exactly the way you want. It’s almost neutral in its lightness, it’s super pastel and it’s probably my favourite from the entire Poolside range!

Las Perlas

If you love a little pop of orange in the summer, this one is for you. Las Perlas is not sparkly or iridescent but it does change in different lights.

Great for if you’re not really a pink girl, this is a perfect middle between ditsy pink and deep red. This one is also excellent for September and that burnt leaf season where Autumn welcomes you like a hug!

Mombasa

A slightly different blue to Phuket, this one is a darker and deeper all round.

If you’re not into blue, this one is not for you. However, if you love blue, you’ll be able to jump between the two and mix things up effortlessly.

Goa

Goa is more of a red than a pink. It’s a lovely deep colour that would work well even over the festive period.

I like this pigment for when I create nail art on my nails. It’s so striking and stands out in all the right ways so is perfect for a base or as a little flourish.

Santa Monica

Santa Monica is ideal for long, hot sunny days. You know when you come back to your hotel room or condo, you’re covered in sand and you’ve got a Fanta Lemon in your hand? You need to rush to get ready for dinner and redo your nails.

That’s what this nail polish is designed for. Completely change up your look with this deep, sea blue colour and watch it last for your entire holiday.

Care For Your Feet With Mavala

Like all of the products Mavala puts out there, you will only get the best quality.

I’ve worked with Mavala for years now and I’m always pleasantly surprised how good their quality is. No matter what product I try, I’m always up for switching out everything else in favour of Mavala only.

Our feet have taken a bit of a weird battering this past year. We may not be commuting for hours on end anymore, we may not be on our feet half as much. But salons and nail shops have also been closed. Like me, you may have embarked on a fitness regime. Either way, lockdown has been stressful and our skin shows it – even our feet.

So, when the Mavala team sent over some new footcare bits, I knew I would be in for a real treat.

I’ve been sent:

• Smoothing Scrub Cream For Feet
• Hydro-repairing Foot Care
• Conditioning Moisturiser For Feet

I like to use all three of these amazing creams and scrubs at least once a week. I’ll use them as often as I use a face mask. I can gently scrub the dead feet from my skin, give them a luxurious foot bath while I sit on the edge of the bath and then dry and cream them.

This gives me the perfect excuse to pour myself a glass of wine, get my book out and be left alone with my thoughts.

I’ve been using a combination of these foot products for over a month and my feet have NEVER felt smoother or healthier. My runners feet are pampered, blisters aren’t half as a sore and the balls of my feet are rarely tough or rough.
