Skimono Mask Review

Let’s talk about what the last 300-or-so days has done to us all, shall we? We’ve all had to stay at home, look after each other and take things a little slower. I for one no longer commute, in fact, I no longer work at the place I did this time last year. We’ve all jumped into self care and life in the slow lane. Today’s post is all about forcing yourself to stop for a quick minute with the help of Skimono!

Skimono Mask Review

An Introduction To Skimono

Skimono are a skincare brand that are inspired by the luxury of putting on a Japanese Kimono. Their masks are like this, silky, light and made to make you feel a million dollars.

Skimono are first and foremost, a sheet mask skincare brand. They have sheet masks for your face, hands, feet and more.

The masks are made with intensive, restorative serums for deeper skin penetration for longer and better lasting results.

Face

This, as Kate Nash would say, is my face.

This is my face on a good day. This is actually my face from the summer last year. But, this is what I look like. You can see the imperfections in my skin, the freckles, the lumps and bumps.

I try to do all that I can to keep my face looking like this.

Skimono’s face sheet masks help do that.

The face mask on offer is a cut above the rest. The mask itself is thick and heavy with product. It’s not overly cold or gel like in feeling (that’s always a bit of a turn off for me).

They feel spa-like in material thickness and scent. They are built with bio-cellulose technology that the mask doesn’t try out, pull at your skin or peel away from the area it needs to target the most.

Hands

Well, our hands have got the brunt of it recently haven’t they. Mine are dry and chapped at times. I use a lot of lovely products (find them all here) to keep them feeling less sore and more workable.

Skimono’s hand mask is a treasure! The Skin Nourishment Glove is enriched with Shea Butter, Aloe Vera, Hyaluronic Acid and Skimono’s revitalising serum.

I just pop these sheet gloves over my hands and force myself to take a twenty minute break from whatever it is I am stressed about.

I can feel my hands drinking all of the products instantly and never want to take them off!

Feet

While I am no longer on my feet as much as I once was, they still get tired. I am currently trying to run on my running machine for three miles everyday. I sit in slippers while I work but walk all over the house a lot. My daily exercise is spent in trainers going up muddy hills and over uneven ground.

Skimono’s feet masks are like lovely, soggy socks. They aren’t like those Kim K feet masks that make all of your skin shed. I’ve tried that and it was DISGUSTING but totally fascinating!

These socks are made of some tough stuff. They are thick with Shea Butter, olive oil and chamomile to get through that tough skin. They are infused tea tree oil (one of my favourite scents) to encourage anti-inflammatory properties to your little toes.

I’ve used my Skimono socks twice in a few weeks and my hard, cracked jeels are completely changed. My blisters from overdoing on the running machine aren’t as angry. My squashes up toes are happier altogether.

Final Thoughts

For me, Skimono sheet masks are an easy win.
Even if you treat yourself often, it’s a great excuse to sit yourself down, have a cup of tea and just let the masks work their magic.

I received these items are a gift in return of an honest review and I’ve already re-ordered some. I would love to bring these on my Hen Do later this year (if that happens, pray for me guys).

Buy Skimono products here, you won’t regret it!

I love the idea of a mask for my hands! I’m constantly using hand sanitizer at work in addition to regular washing, so my hands are really needing some love. Thanks for the recommendation! 🙂
