5 Things To Look Forward To In Spring
The days are getting longer, the sunshine feels stronger and the dreary weather seems to have had a break. With so much excitement in my not-so-distant future, I can’t help but feel like Spring is on its way and life is about to get a whole lot better. I wanted to spread my warm and fuzzy feelings by sharing the 5 things to look forward to this Spring!

The Birth Of My Baby
The past few months or so have absolutely flown by and I’ve loved every single second of being pregnant. I am so proud of my body and how it has coped in this new minefield of procedures, tests, growing, and being strong.
This Spring, my little baby will be joining my family and I am very excited.
While a huge part of me wants to make the most of the last few weeks of being pregnant, it’s hard not to imagine what my baby’s face will look like when they finally arrive.
My life is about to change, that’s for sure. But, I am relaxed, excited, and welcoming it with open arms.
I do plan to take some time away from everything online once the baby arrives but don’t worry, I’ve got some amazing guest bloggers on hand who will be covering me!

Longer Days and Lighter Nights
The long, dark nights will soon become a thing of the past. We’ll no longer need to be careful when walking home from work, we’ll be able to wear lighter layers and our social lives are about to get a whole lot better.
Longer days mean more opportunities to get stuff done – whether that’s to do more blog photography in natural lighting (guilty), seeing more friends in a safe space, or just sitting in the garden and watching the sun go down in peace.
As soon as the lighter evenings appear, I instantly feel happier. The world feels more of a happy place, the options are endless and the fun of Spring really begins.
I can’t wait to enjoy dinners outside in the garden, evenings at the pub, and sundowners with friends.
Spring Fashion
It’s been a while since I wrote any focused fashion content – I hope to share some maternity fashion tips very soon but my daily uniform mostly consists of leggings and a jumper – and my big old belly!
When the temperature increases and the sun comes out for longer, I am the first to whip out all of my summer dresses, sandals and flip flops out from storage.
I will be sharing some Spring fashion trends to watch out for very soon and I honestly, cannot wait to step back into fashion blogger mode here on the blog!
Easter
Easter always feels like a momentous event in the calendar, it’s the start of a new season of hope and it’s also filled with chocolate.
I love Easter, having everyone back together when the sun shines, all of the treats, and some real, dedicated time off to enjoy the festivities.
This year, I’ll be eating enough chocolate for myself and a small human. I’ll be hosting a family roast dinner and getting my garden ready for (hopefully) a long, hot summer.
I am excited to let my creative flair loose while the season allows – there’s no end of Easter nails, bonnets, hair trends and baby clothes!
I’ll openly admit that I’ve already got the baby their Easter outfit!
My First Mother’s Day
Wow, what a strange sentence to write down.
This Spring I will enjoy my first ever Mother’s Day as a mummy. I have no idea what we’ll do but I imagine it’ll be filled with dirty nappies, snoozing on the sofa and hopefully some time with my mum.
I’ve always dreamt of what Mother’s Day would look like for me when it’s my turn and I envisioned a nice dinner out in a riverside restaurant, getting dressed up and lots of small humans around.
Now, that will be a reality and I keep feeling like I need to pinch myself.

What are you looking forward to this Spring?
