Herbalife Banana Pancake Recipe & Review

Let’s talk treats, shall we? I actually feel as if I’ve been on a diet for my entire adult life and it always seems that good old pancake day sneaks up on me just as I am in the midst of a diet for something – this year it’s for my upcoming wedding (eek!). Every year I want to treat myself to pancakes but I’ve never been able to fall off the diet wagon and do it. That was until I saw how versatile the Herbalife F1 products are! This year’s pancake day was a little different…

Pancake Day at Casa LoveRosiee

I’ve worked with Herbalife for years now and I love to use them to help maintain my weight, assist with healthy weightloss and boost my daily vitamin intake. My man also uses Herbalife products post-workout and relies on them to help him feel strong and repair on the run up to our wedding.
I am not an advocate of a crash diet – Lord knows that I have been the queen of fad and crash diets, Hell, I’ve even covered my experiences on LoveRosiee about it.
Now that I am 27 and working towards this huge goal of being healthy, happy and beautiful on my Big Day, I know that crash dieting is not the answer. In all of my experience, you will pile the weight back on after a crash diet and your emotions fall in line with the losses and the gains. Life is short, it’s not healthy to make food the enemy – for years I was scared to ear bread and pasta!

With Herbalife, that is not the message. It’s all about balance and putting the right kinds of nutrients into your body with the help of their yummy shakes and reparing your body after an amazing work out.

What I didn’t know, though, was how diverse the Herbalife F1 shakes are!

Banana Pancakes With Herbalife

This pancake day I was sent this beautiful hamper from the lovely team behind Herbalife’s Social Media and was shown that you can actually make sweet treats – including pancakes – out of their banana shake powder!

Crazy right? But, seriously, it was sooo easy!

The Herbalife F1 Banana Pancakes Recipe goes like so:

  • 125g flour (you can substitute for gluten-free if you prefer)
  • 1 tablespoon oats
  • 1 tablespoon Herbalife F1 Banana Cream powder
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • I banana crushed
  • 150ml milk
  • A little butter for the pan
  • Bananas to serve

You don’t actually have to use the crushed up banana as part of the recipe but I find that it makes the mixture a lot more thick and luxurious and really banana packed!

Banana pancakes are my favourite, I’m not really one for savoury pancakes although this year I saw that loads of people are loving that this year. I love the classic lemon and sugar combo but these thick banana pancakes really hit the spot this year!

I’ve been loving using the Rachel Allen Herbalife cook book to get some dinner inspiration and healthy meal and snack ideas!

What did you do for pancake day this year?
