5 Things to do when we’re allowed out of lockdown

The first lockdown was tough. But this second lockdown is getting harder and harder by the day. There are so many mixed emotions involved and while I’m staying busy (read my lockdown game ideas here), I am feeling anxious. Anxious about being in lockdown for longer than expected, anxious about getting back to normal, anxious about going back to the office, anxious about getting poorly, anxious about my family. I mean, the list is endless. No end of S Club 7 blaring at full blast will keep these thoughts at bay. The negativity and fear can seriously be like a weight around my neck. So, I thought that the best thing I could do would be to share some brightness and give us all some ideas on the 5 things to do when we’re all out of lockdown!

1. See your family

My amazing family

If you don’t already know, I am one of five amazing siblings. This picture is from my gorgeous sister’s wedding last year, it fills me with so much happiness and emotions! We are all super close so being apart for so long has been really alien. Of course we all speak on the phone, Houseparty a lot and text loads but there’s nothing quite like a real life hug and catch up!
The first place I’ll be going when we’re allowed out is my mum’s house for a glass of wine, a bbq and a catch up!

2. Travel

This virus has stolen so much from so many of us. One of the more trivial things is our long anticipated breaks from work. The virus stole my Hen Do, pre-wedding mini break and destination wedding. I am not ready to share the details of my postponed wedding on LoveRosiee right now but I do know that as soon as lockdown is lifted, I’ll be booking a mini break!
I’m thinking a long weekend in the Canary Islands and a staycation break down to Cornwall for some British beach vibes!

3. Go shopping

Since lockdown started, I’ve tried not to spend a penny. I’m usually quite strict with money and with a wedding on the way, I have been really good with a spending ban. Online shopping is cool but I can’t wait to go out on my lunchbreak or on a warm Saturday morning and just walk around the shops. I hope that Summer will still be here by then so that I can treat myself to some sandals and nice sunglasses!

4. See my pals

I cannot wait for a coffee date with some of my pals. One of my closest friend had her beautiful baby girl around Christmas and I’ve missed seeing her gorgeous face. Another of my friends passed her exams at work while self-learning in lockdown – I cannot wait to toast champagne with her! I miss girl time, I love my man but my God does he not appreciate my girly ramblings, my nail polish ideas and my moods!

5. Start planning my postponed wedding

Terrible Facebook version

My man and I have, sadly, had to postpone our dream wedding due to Corona. We’re now only a few weeks out and I can’t help but get choked up thinking about what Parallel World Rosie would be doing now on the build up to the big day.
It’s ok, we’ve postponed so we’ll still be able to do our day but I can’t help but feel a bit robbed. We never wanted a long engagement and we ruffled some feathers with our plans. Now it all seems like extra heartache for no reason.
I am going to try to embrace an extra year of being the fiance and get to do the Hen Do and mini breaks again – I can’t wait to get back to it!

What are 5 things you’re planning to do when lockdown ends?

Awe I am so sorry you had to postpone your wedding. I know that has happened to a lot of people here lately. Wishing you all the best as you start planning again! And our state is slowly starting to open up again and I went shopping for the first time this weekend and it was heavenly! I sure have missed it!
