Wedding Update

If you’ve ever visited LoveRosiee before, you will know that May this year I was planning to walk down the aisle to my amazing man on a beach somewhere sun kissed. I don’t need to fill you in on what’s been going on across the world since the start of 2020, but I do think that I am now finally ready to give you all a wedding update!

The COVID Effect

Shock horror – our May wedding had to be postponed! We did this quite early on in the lockdown, around the end of March. We have relatives living in Spain and they were weeks ahead of us, so we’ve pretty much been taking the lead from them!

We are having an intimate destination wedding in the location where we go married so when it came to postponing the service, we also had to cancel and reschedule flights, car hire, city apartments, beach bookings, and more.

We took the plunge and because we did it so early, we managed to postpone our wedding for a year – and secure the same date for next year.

Our wedding date is really special to us, it’s the date we got engaged and it’s the day before my birthday!

Our 2021 wedding will be on the same day – just a year later!

What to do now

Annoyingly, because we were only weeks and days away from the original date, loads of things are still in the air.

I was due to go for my final wedding dress fitting at the start of April so my wedding dress is still with my lovely seamstress.

We both dipped out on our hen & stag do’s – we are hoping that these will be rescheduled for us to for the same time next year – Lord knows that I will need some girl time after this!

So for now, we are staying home and the countdown number has gone from single figures to triple.

I wont lie, I’ve been incredibly emotional for weeks, once the original day passed, I started to feel better but I still get tearful!

We cannot wait to eventually be man and wife – stay tuned for our next steps!
