I’m Engaged! | Printiki Review
So, SURPRISE! I am engaged!
Yep, here it is, after almost a month, I am about to share my engagement story with you all! What better way to tell it than with beautiful snaps and gorgeous photos? With the help of Printiki, I am sharing all of the beautiful details and a sneak peek of some of my Wedding plans!
Surprise, I’m Engaged!
As many of you may already know, my lovely boyfriend and I have been together for six and a half years. We’ve known each other since I was four – I loved him when we were little. He was my brother’s friend at school so sometimes would come round our house to play football or basketball and ever since I was about four, I had a crush on him!
Our Love Story
It wasn’t until I was nineteen that we met each other again, after he’d done an apprenticeship away from home and I’d started University in Bristol.
Neither of us were looking for a relationship, but we couldn’t help but feel drawn to each other each time we met for drinks or nachos or visits to the pub. I had that embarrassing childish crush on him but never dreamt that he would fancy me!
A few weeks into getting to know each other we realised we would end most nights out talking for hours or making each other cry with laughter and it gently progressed from a friendship into a new and amazing relationship!

We have always had an amazing connection and my positivity matched with his more mature and calm persona ended up being the perfect match! We didn’t argue for over a year of first being together. We were just two best mates spending time together, going on holiday, having adventures every weekend so the relationship progressed easily with no dramas.
Our Love Story, Now!
Fast forward a couple years and now we’re home owners, two best friends that still love American holidays, two dreamers who love our families that were getting on with life as a couple.
Our Engagement Story
In May we had planned a trip to New Orleans and Destin, Florida. We love the USA to holiday, so nothing about our trip stuck out to me as anything out of the ordinary. We’d planned four mental partying days on the Ol’ Miss then almost two weeks of beach loving – we are 100% beach bums!

On the day before my birthday we spent yet another day on the beautiful white sandy beaches of Destin and saw five pods of wild Dolphins, sharks and stingrays while splashing in the sea together. The whole day, unbeknown to me, was the perfect gear up for a proposal.
A day spent swimming with wild Dolphins, shark spotting, oreos and sandwiches on the beach.. even our playlist on shuffle was playing typical Dean and Rosie songs!
Our Relationship Traditions
Anytime we go on holiday to the beach, we’ve always written our names in the sand, or Dosie, and take a photo of it with our flipflops slightly out of shot. A cute tradition that hadn’t yet happened on our amazing Destin trip, so when he told me we’d come down to the beach at sunset to write our names in the sand, I honestly thought nothing of it!

That evening, Dean led me down to the beach at sunset and went on to write our names in the sand. But he did it with his two, upside down. I didn’t get it and got the hump, as I went around the other side of it to take a cute photo, he dropped to one knee and asked me to marry him!
I honestly don’t remember what he said to me! I know that sounds terrible but it was the most beautiful and unexpected moment of my life and I just fell apart. I burst into tears – and I mean, sobbing, snot, the lot!
My wonderful boy was there on one knee, asking me to be with him forever. And I said yes. Of course I did!
Words cannot do justice the feeling of having your best friend choose to be with you forever, the feeling of being truly whole as a person, the love you can possibly feel for one person!
I am still, almost 6 weeks later, on cloud 9! My amazing man will be my husband in no time at all!
I can’t wait to be Mrs Beech!
