Autumn Goals
2020 is hurtling towards its end and this year has honestly felt like the longest but quickest year on record. You know what I mean, right? Lockdown was a scary prospect at three weeks, here we are months later on the brink of a second one. My wedding didn’t happen (boo), nor my hen do or reception but I am finally starting to look forward to what is next. Before I look forward, I like to set some goals! So here are some personal and professional goals for Autumn 2020!

Blogging Goals
My little corner of the internet has had a bit of a growth spurt in its success recently and I think lots of it comes from my own passion and new enthusiasm for blogging. I have blogged now for just over 5 years but I feel like I am learning something every single day!
I’d like to continue to grow my blog with regard to engaging with my readers – bloggers and non-bloggers. I am being super active over on my social media channels so I’d like to keep that up.
Social Media Goals
Of course, I’d love to increase my followers on Instagram and Twitter but I would really like Autumn to show me that numbers don’t count when it comes to good quality content but a jump in followers is always a nice thing to see.

My socials have been busier than ever with content and collaborations but I feel that my presence on Instagram has dropped somewhat. I have done a few reels to try and mix things up but I want to try to some more of them into Autumn to see if I can knock that algorithm to my favour!
Photography Goals
I am a flatlay blogger, through and through. I love creating flatlays and I love seeing other people do the same. But with Autumn, I want to try to mix my photography up a little. I’ve signed some really cool fashion posts in recent weeks and brands seem to prefer it when I’m in front of the camera so I think it’s time for me to dust off the front camera and mix my content up with some more Autumn fashion and home style posts.
Wish me luck!

Personal Goals
We had our house renovated this time last year which means, thankfully, we missed some drama that COVID has caused in that regard. We aren’t necessarily looking to move but the virus has changed the landscape of things for home owners a lot recently. We love our home but I think that it would definitely be worth checking how much it is now worth and what else is around in the Windsor area. There are a few positives to come out of how COVID has changed day to day life and potentially looking at other houses to mortgage could be one of them!
Find out more about mortgages and stamp duties here.
I’d love to be able to spend more time with the people that I love this Autumn. We missed spending my birthday together and other big days like Mother’s Day didn’t happen and it sucks. I obviously won’t be breaking the rule of six but I would love a few girly night with lots of wine, cheese and chocolate!
Work/life balance has been all over the place this year – I’ve changed my job and now work remotely full time. I have an office set up in my house but it can be tough to switch my laptop off and finish for the day or week. This autumn, I’d like to be more strict and spend more time with my brain switched off!

Exercise has been a massive part of my coping system this year. 2020 started with me on a strict exercise regime for my wedding but as soon as lockdown hit, we postponed our dream wedding and I stopped exercising. I know I’m not alone, but I felt no energy to exercise or get myself out of the funk. However, in recent weeks, I am back on it and feeling better than ever! This Autumn, I’d love to beat my personal best to three miles running. I’m not worried about weightloss yet, I just want to feel strong!
Podcasts have been another great thing for me this year. I love listening to them and just escaping the madness of the world for half an hour. I want to make more time for this in Autumn!
Phew, just a few goals then!
Do you have any goals for Autumn?

I started an exercise regimen right of the bat during lockdown, but then dropped off as well. I just recently picked it back up and am trying to stay at it this time. I also have been making crafts like crazy to occupy my time. I wish you luck on your goals!
