Best Cleansers For Clear Skin
We barely get dressed and put a bra on these days. Make up – what’s that? But, if you’re like me and you’re still going for glam for kitchen drinks, you’ll still be relying on your cleansers. Today’s post is dedicated to a few of my favourite and best cleansers for clear skin.

What Is A Cleanser?
Simply put: a cleanser is a product that removes dirt from the skin on your face and neck. A cleanser is used in place of warm water. It has a detergent in its ingredients to help remove stubborn build up and dirt without irritating your skin.
Do I Need A Cleanser?
Whether you wear lots of make up or not, you should be using a cleanser on your skin to give a thorough clean each day. Your face sees a lot of stress, pollution and dirt.
With all of this build up, you can end up having early signs of premature ageing, wrinkles and blemishes.
For best skincare and results, I would recommend the twice daily use of a good cleanser.
The Best Gentle Cleanser

If your skin is in need of some extra TLC, the best and most gentle cleanser is Mavala’s Alpine Softness Clean & Comfort Micellar Water.
I 100% recommend this cleanser because it is infused with fresh Alpine water which is perfect for helping sensitive skin and eyes.
This cleanser will literally dissolve your make up and remove urban toxins with just a few gentle swipes.
The cleanser is completely fragrance free and soap free.
It works in seconds and really soothes my skin even after a long, hard day of rubbing my eyes.

To use this cleanser:
– soak a reusable cotton pad with the product – use enough to make sure your skin wont feel scratched
– gently wipe over your face and neck. I recommend lifting the skin upwards to avoid helping gravity give you any extra wrinkles. Gentle, warming circles around the eyes always help me too
– repeat until your cotton pad is clear
– no need to rinse once it’s done!
– this can be done in the morning and the evening
The Best Milky Cleanser
If your skin is feeling dry, it’s worth investing in a milky cleanser to help add that moisture back in.
I recommend Nivea’s Milky Cleanser.
This cleanser is perfect for removing waterproof make up. I use this on holiday when I’ve applied waterproof mascara.
With green tea ingredients added to help skin keep its natural moisture, this one is especially sensitive on your lashes. It also smells dreamy!
The Best Floral Cleanser

If you need to purify your combination skin, Nivea’s Rose Care Micellar Water is for you.
A cleanser that also works as a toner, it’s great to use on the go. I’ve taken this little one away with me on weekends away and lost it to my sisters who can’t get enough of it.
You can remove your make up without having to rub your skin excessively. It will leave your skin feeling plump and clean without any kind of greasy residue.
This one is infused with rose water and oil. I like to use this one when my lips feel particularly dry. It plumps them back up instantly!
The Best Cleanser For Super Dry Skin

Mavala’s Clean & Comfort Caress Cleansing Milk will add the lost moisture back into your skin in seconds.
This is some seriously creamy stuff and a little bit goes a long way!
Soothing and gentle on skin, this is the best cleanser for rehydrating your skin. It’s like a deep moisturiser-come-cleanser.
It is velvety and fluid and your skin will drink it up!
Depending on your schedule, your skincare, your routines and your time only one of these might work for you. Maybe, like me, you’ll be mixing them up and getting good results.
Whatever you do, make sure that you cleanse and double cleanse. Wipe away the dirt each night and start the new day with fresh, beautiful skin!

My skincare routine is the only thing keeping me sane at the moment! I love using the foam cleansers and vitamin E cream cleanser from The Body Shop.

The Nivea Rose cleanser is very popular in Malaysia too. The first cleanser you suggested sounds good. But this is the first time I heard of the brand.

I never tried Mavala, but I have been reading a lot about it in your posts and really need to give it a try! Nivea reminds me so much of when I was a kid and my mom used to use it regularly. Thanks for sharing Rosie x

Ooh I love this. I was doing really well with my skin care but I’ve definitely slipped right up recently and this has been a really good reminder that I’m missing that really cleansed feeling. These all sound like great products – new to me but I love how gentle but effective they sound. Thanks for sharing!
