Autumn Handcare Tips
The sun has gone, I’m sat at my desk writing this with a long hot water bottle, a knitted jumper and my fluffy slippers on and the temperature has definitely dropped. Autumn is certainly here and I, for one, am here for it! But our skin will be one of the areas to really suffer this Autumn season, so I’ve got some great Autumn hand care advice for you!

Tips For Hand Health
Don’t over use scented soaps & creams
If your hands feel like they are sore, do not over wash them or use overly perfumed soaps and creams. In Autumn, it is inevitable that the skin from your wrists down to your fingertips will feel sore – this skin faces all of the harshness of the season. From pulling our phones out during the cold snap to shoving them into our pockets or gloves, the skin will become score.
But if you are washing them too much in overly scented or with lotions and soaps that aren’t good for sensitive or broken skin, you will make it worse. Unfortunately, the need to wash our hands is as important now as it ever has been so go careful!

Exfoliate dead skin away
Exfoliation and the act of scrubbing away dead and dry skin is key to hand skin health so make sure that your hands are getting the right kind of scrubbing.
A regular exfoliation of your hands will do – I tend to do mine once a week when I have my big shower and my hands are amazingly soft and feel great straight away!
Inject Moisture
Naturally, your hands will feel dry and hard done by. But there are loads of ways for you to inject some moisture into your hands with ease. I personally trust Antipodes Joyful & Delight hand creams. They are jam packed with moisture rich ingredients and you can instantly feel the skin on your hands drinking in the goodness when you apply them!

In fact, I trust all of Antipodes hand creams and moisturisers for injecting much needed moisture into my hands during Autumn and into winter!
Drink Plenty Of Water
As a skincare blogger, you will know that hydration is something that I talk about a lot! But it’s so simple and yet so over looked.
To keep your hands healthy this Autumn seasons, make sure that you drinking plenty of fluids. It doesn’t have to be just water as I know some people just can’t abide it. Why not mix it up with coridals and squashes or even warm up your water and add some fresh lemon? When water just isn’t doing it for me, I cut up some cucumber and add that to it just to give it a bit of life.
When I haven’t consumed enough liquid, my skin tells me pretty much straight away. So, get that water in!
These are just a few easy things that you can do to ensure that your hands and skin are kept healthy throughout Autumn!
