Celebrating Toddler Mums This Mother’s Day
Can you believe it’s already that time of the year again? That’s right – Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and it’s our time to shine! Mother’s Day falls this Sunday, 10th March 2024. Let’s take a moment to celebrate the incredible journey of motherhood with our little bundles of joy by our side. Now, being a mum to a toddler is no easy feat. From the endless nappy changes to the constant chase after tiny tornadoes, our days are filled with laughter, tears, and everything in between. But despite the chaos, there’s something truly magical about watching our little ones grow and explore the world around them.
As we approach Mother’s Day, it’s important to take a moment to reflect on the unique joys and challenges of being a toddler mum. So, grab a cup of coffee (or let’s be real, reheated coffee from yesterday), cosy up on the couch, and let’s chat about why Mother’s Day is extra special for us.

Celebrating Milestones
From first words to first steps, being a toddler mum means celebrating a multitude of milestones. Mother’s Day gives us the perfect opportunity to reflect on how far our little ones have come and marvel at the incredible journey of parenthood. I think it’s also important to celebrate the milestones in milestones – the simple stuff like going out alone for the first time and making it through a tantrum in public.
Cherishing Precious Moments
Despite the tantrums and the chaos, there are countless precious moments that make being a toddler mum so rewarding. Whether it’s snuggling up for bedtime stories or sharing giggles during playtime, Mother’s Day reminds us to cherish these fleeting moments and hold them close to our hearts.
These moments really are fleeting, I have blinked and now have a two year old!
Finding Joy in the Small Things
Toddlers have an uncanny ability to find joy in the simplest of things – a butterfly fluttering by, a pile of leaves to jump in, or a crayon masterpiece proudly displayed on the fridge. As toddler mums, Mother’s Day serves as a reminder to embrace the magic of childhood and find joy in the small things.
Since becoming a Mum, I’ve learnt that life really is about those tiny moments!

Embracing Imperfection
Let’s face it – motherhood is messy, chaotic, and beautifully imperfect. As toddler mums, we’ve learned to embrace the messiness and find beauty in the chaos. Mother’s Day is a time to celebrate our imperfections and acknowledge that we’re doing the best we can for our little ones.
Honouring the Bond Between Mother and Child
Above all else, Mother’s Day is a celebration of the unbreakable bond between mother and child. From the late-night snuggles to the shared laughter and love, being a toddler mum is a privilege and a joy like no other.
I’ve never loved motherhood more than when Jack is chatting away to me so passionately or giving me the biggest cuddles.
To All Of You…
So, to all the toddler mums out there, Happy Mother’s Day!
May your day be filled with love, laughter, and maybe even a few moments of peace and quiet (a mum can dream, right?). Here’s to celebrating the incredible journey of motherhood with our little ones by our side.

People Also Ask…
What can I do for mother’s day with my toddler?
Have a Mother’s Day book club. Sometime before the big day, Mum gets to pick a book and everyone reads it. On Mother’s Day, everyone gathers together to discuss. If the kids are still little, this could be modified to be a read-aloud of Mum’s favourite picture books.
Why is mother’s day important for toddlers?
Celebrating Mother’s Day can also boost children’s self-esteem and assurance by encouraging them to express their love and appreciation for their mothers. Children who engage in Mother’s Day activities may feel a sense of achievement and take pride in their efforts.
How can I make mother’s day special?
Treat her like a queen and spend the entire day doing things that she always wanted to do with you. You two can go for a picnic, go for a hike, cook together, go through old family pictures, or just play some fun games at home. Or you two can run a movie marathon at home.
