My home is my castle, I work super hard to make sure that when I am there, I am living my best life. I want to be able to be at home and relax, be creative and chill. Life is stressful enough so when I’m at home, I want it to be heavenly.
Recently, I’ve been planning some renovations, nothing crazy, but I want to make better use of space and have the decor reflect my style as it is now, a twenty seven year old girl, on the eve of getting married and going into a new phase in my life.

Pinterest is amazing isn’t it!? It seriously is the best tool for finding an idea of what you want and the ease in which you can then portray this to your builder etc is a dream! It’s also very addictive!
These days, instead of scrolling through instagram, you’ll find me scrolling through Pinterest, pinning homeware and layouts and creating new boards for my every mood.

Here are some of the ideas that I have for my upcoming renovations…

Now at 27, I am feeling for open spaces, nude colours and muted tones; pinks, greys, off whites.
My house is fairly open plan and while I can appreciate that off white tones can be hard to clean, I think we could make it work!

Our house can be quite dark so I think the white feel will open it up a little and keep it bright, even in deepest darkest winter!

Our current kitchen is quite dark, it has dark cupboard doors and a dark floor. I want to lighten this up and de-clutter everything.
This snap from Pinterest is in the region of what I like. It’s simple, it’s clean and it’s usable!
We obviously live in our lovely home, it’s no show room but I like for everything to have its own place and nothing to be out and looking messy!

In a dream life, I’d love a utility room or area. My mum had a huge one when we were growing up and I never realised how important it was for our house!
I’d like an area at least for our washing machine, tumble dryer etc. and I want cupboards or better storage for the detergent, washing bits and annoying things that are always out and look a mess!
I might be dreaming but I love this idea!

Bedroom wise, I’m not sure my fiance agrees with my vision and taste. I’d love a Kardashian style dressing room, open spaces to take outfit shots and an opportunity to show off all of my amazing beauty – I am a beauty blogger after all!
I love this mirror, I actually already have a similar on with white framing that lives in my living room. After seeing this snap on Pinterest, I know my full length mirror will go into the bedroom!
I love blankets but want them to fit with the room rather than being strewn around – wishful thinking when remembering how much of a terrible morning person I am!

As you can tell, I like everything in my life to have its own place. It de-stresses me when everything is away and looks all neat and tidy.
So having wardrobes or storage like this would make my life a living dream!
I know this kind of storage is very expensive, but a girl can dream right?
Maybe without the mirrors on the outside.. maybe not!?
