The season of new life and, well chocolate, is almost upon us. Those summer bodies some of us (ie, not me) have been working hard for are going to take a knock when it comes to my Easter Egg Top Picks from the high street and a little more high end! So, sit back and enjoy a feast for your eyes of my best picks of the Easter Eggs hitting our stores this year! If you’re a bit of a chocolate fiend like me, this will be right up your street, and if you’re not
WHAT, then this might inspire you to spread the chocolate love!
First up, I have found for you an amazing chocolate dream!
This AMAZING Easter Selection from Hotel Chocolat is a thing of dreams! Such a huge selection of their amazingly luxurious chocolate! This little bundle promises to deliver all sorts of chocolate yumminess, including milk, dark and white chocolate eggs with lashings of honey comb and caramel. The only downside with this set of Easter Eggs is you’d feel obligated to share as there are so many!
This little gem comes in at £50 and you can find it here.
Next up, in my list of Top Easter Eggs is another little gem from Hotel Chocolat. This company is one of my go-to places to buy the best high end chocolate with the best customer service and their Easter Egg selection this year is one to be reckoned with for sure! So much selection for every budget and always a little something extra for that little treat! This right corker comes in at a steep £75 so slightly more than my previous pick. The Ostrich Egg is a thing of beauty though! The Egg itself is extra thick with delicious chocolate, half made with crunchy puffed rice (dribbling) and the other half made of milk chocolate. Once you crack open this dribble fest you’ll find a selection of individual chocolate dreams – each boasting their own amazing flavours, from praline to caramel. A thing of beauty!
As I mentioned, this one a little more pricey and comes in at a neat £75 and here’s where you can find it.
All hail the geniuses out there who commissioned this bad boy!
Whilst doing my research for this post, I stumbled upon this beast of an Easter Egg, obviously had to show my boyfriend whose only response was “that’s ridiculous”. Needless to say, he will not be receiving the Grand Ferrero Rocher this year! Or ever! This beast is available from Selfridges, of course it is, and this product is exactly what it seems – it’s a gigantic Ferrero Rocher! There’s nothing more to say really, except for the fact that I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE!!
You can’t have an Easter Egg post without the master chocolatiers making a feature can you!? Of course, Lindt is the head of chocolate when it comes to the chocolate seasons of the year, namely Christmas and Easter. And this year is no exception. This gorgeous egg is all the Hazelnut you’ll ever need – picture almost a Nutella heaven! During the building process, the shell is formed out of luxurious Lindt chocolate then rolled in lashings of Hazelnut and then rolled in chocolate again until it hardens. I mean, come on! Whoever has the job of trying that out is my hero!
This cute and quirky little Easter Egg comes from one of my absolute favorite stores – Notonthehighstreet.com and it’s a little take on the classic Humpty Dumpty! If I received this for Easter I would be chuffed! How cute is this little dude!? He’s made of Peanut Butter and Milk Chocolate and is filled with the crunchiest of peanut butters! He is garnished with a cute little bow tie and tash and is almost too adorable to eat … almost!
Last on my list is something a little different.
I can’t be the ONLY person addicted to Mini Eggs, can I? They are my weakness at Easter. So these cute Mini Egg hand sculpted treats were a no brainer when it came to my Top Picks of Easter Eggs – although it’s a bit of a cheat. Almost all of it is edible, obviously except the stem and the rest is made of gorgeous Belgium chocolate. Drooling!
Again, this is from my fave place to buy unique gifts, notonthehighstreet. It’s a little treat for £19.99 and you can find it here.
What are your top picks for Easter Eggs this year? Which is your fave from my selection?
