Wow wow wow! What a year 2017 has been for me, both personally and blog wise! I have had so many ups that the downs haven’t even mattered! The most wonderful year has flown by like the blink of an eye – it literally feels like yesterday that I was sat surrounded by Christmas presents, candles and stockings to reflect on 2016! Now it’s here, I am so excited to both reflect and look forward!
I really hope you enjoy my goals for 2018!
The year of 2018 will see me turn the ripe old age of 26. Turning 25 in Disneyland Paris this year simply cannot be topped but I would love to get away for my big day again!
This year I would LOVE to have more family time. I have a HUGE family with lots of relatives strewn across the world. I would love to get to see some of them a little more but work is really tough!
Onto work, I love my job at the moment but I would love to be able take my little blog a step forward. My ultimate goal would be for the blog to pay me some money so that I could go part time at my job. I currently work 53 hours a week – and I am not complaining – but it does take it’s toll!
I’d love to get a little more couple time in this year. My wonderful man is my world and I do neglect him sometimes. If I’m not working, I’m blogging, if it’s not that I’m seeing family, then there’s the babysitting or the events. Our relationship can get lost in there somewhere sometimes but this year I want to be able to treat him a little more to date nights and some quality time just us two!
My little blog has done so well this year. It has continued to grow steadily but I am constantly on the hunt of how to make it bigger and better! I am my own worst enemy when it comes to blogging; as soon as I hit one goal or threshold I am desperate to get to the next one in no time!
This year, I am going to TRY to be a little easier on myself. 2017 saw me focus less on numbers and more on good content that I was really proud of – and I want to continue in that vein for sure. The numbers game is for suckers – it’s a big ocean that you’ll drown in and never see the surface again.
I am also terrible at comparing myself with others in the blogging world. I celebrate my small successes then look online and see so many amazing bloggers on my feed absolutely killing it – then the viscous cycle of self doubt and torture starts. So, 2018 will hopefully see none of that!
I have worked with some insane brands this year but 2018 is my new opportunity to work with some new ones, here a few in my dreams I’d love to work with..
I really want my photography to take a step up on that next level in 2018 and I am hoping that my skills will get better!
