2020 Hero Brands – Beauty
Wow what a year 2020 turned out to be, ha? A Global pandemic, a postponed wedding, a redundancy, an amazing new job and a blog that was my lifeline. I wanted to make today’s blog post a positive one by shouting out to the brands that helped me grow my presence and engagement in 2020!
Mavala
Well, 2020 was the year that I found myself falling deeper in love with being creative with my nails. Being stuck at home gave me some more time to pamper myself and I found that doing my nails once a week was my little slice of me-time. And it was much needed.
I worked with Mavala multiple times in 2020 and even joined their exclusive Ambassador programme. As a brand, I am fully behind them and the way they work. It’s simple things like the size of their nail polish bottles – created to ensure that there is zero waste.
Mavala brought out some great ranges in 2020. Some of my favourite were:

I am super excited to continue working with Mavala in 2021. They’re a brand that I feel really at home with and I can’t wait for the day that we can have face to face events.
Since using only Mavala products on my hands and nails, they are all so much stronger. My nail polish lasts such a long time in perfect condition, my hands aren’t half as sore. I actually get ready to take the polish off and try another colour and style because they last so long. I’ve literally NEVER had that with any other brand!
Estrid Razor
This vegan friendly razor was everywhere in 2020! Influencers from all over the community were trying it, creating ads and, well raving about it. When Estrid approached me last year, I jumped at the chance of giving their famous razor a go!
The reason why Estrid are one of my brand heroes of 2020 is because, it works. It sounds silly but, if you read my review, you’ll understand what I mean!
I’ve been using my Estrid razor (and only my Estrid razor) since I worked with them in November and my skin has never been happier. All of that fuss and chat about them, it was right!
Olsson Allergy Friendly Haircare
My hair is my pride and joy. As stupid and shallow as that sounds, it’s true. We all love to look nice and feel good. For me, my hair is one way for me to do that! I’ve been blogging for five years and I tried a loooot of haircare brands.
Olsson are famous for their allergy friendly haircare which includes shampoo, conditioner, spray leave-in conditioner and hairspray. I tried every one of those products over the course of a few months, just to be sure that it would work.
What can I say? You guys loved the first impressions post and were constantly asking to see my final thoughts post.
I loved using Olsson. My hair felt so manageable, easy to style, cleaner instantly and cleaner for longer. It felt glossy and smooth and the opposite of weighed down. It didn’t smell like strawberries or coconut but once you get past that, you literally don’t care.
I actually re-ordered the shampoo and conditioner and got their leave-in conditioner as a gift from my mum for Christmas – that’s how much I love them!
Glo32 Teeth Whitening
The final brand in my 2020 beauty heroes post is one that you guys literally couldn’t get enough of. The two posts that I created for Glo32 Teeth Whitening had people stopping me in the street telling me they’d purchased from them all from my little blog!
I was supposed to be getting married early in 2020 and I was doing everything in my power to look and feel my best for it. When it was postponed weeks before the date, I kind of gave up. I was gutted and all of the hard work I’d been putting into myself and my appearance stopped there and then.
Collaborating with GLO32 gave me a chance to get some of that back. It sounds silly but forcing myself to sit for 15 minutes and let the teeth whitening strips work their magic gave way to more me time, more pamper time and me coming back to being my happy self!
The first impressions post blew up. I mean, you guys loved it, loved reading and loved sending me messages about it.
The final review. Wow. One of my most-visited post of 2020, hands down! The results spoke for themselves and shocked even me. I repurchased the Stilo pen as soon as my original one ran out and it’s now a part of my everyday beauty routine. And my smile is much wider for it!
