Estrid Razor Review

OK, I’ll hold my hands up and start this blog post with 100% honesty. When the clocks go back and the nights start drawing in, my razor usually goes into hibernation along with me. I know I’m not alone, I know that lots of you do the same! While my skincare regime, beauty bits and fashion continues, my legs get fuzzier and my level care decreases. But something has happened to me recently – the razor that everyone is talking about, landed on my doorstep! Here is my Estrid Razor review!

That Razor Brand We’ve All been Hearing About

When I shared a snap of my Estrid razor on my Instagram, loads of you messaged me to say you’d been seeing this brand everywhere all of a sudden. Where had they come from!? How do we get to work with them? What is it like? Is it really a vegan friendly razor?

So, who are Estrid?

Estrid are a cruelty-free, fairly priced razor subscription designed for women. They pride themselves on letting us do what we want – have some peach fuzz, be smooth and sleek or trim as you go.

This brand knew that many people, like me, use their man’s surplus razors and kind of just make do. Those razors are designed to flex and shape around the male jaw line and not our own bikini lines, but they get the job done. But with that came the lumps and bumps, the rashes and the ingrown hairs.

How Is Estrid different?

Uniquely, Estrid is a razor designed for the curves, lumps and skin of females. If I’m honest, when I first read up on the product I thought, can it really be that different?

But YES. Oh my God, YES!

I started using my Estrid razor after a few days off from shaving. My skin felt rashy and sore from using a way too old, rusty razor. I was actively giving my skin a break. However, I am Irish and my hair is black – so there is only so long I can put off not shaving. My man may start to think he’s marrying Chewbacca!

Why does Estrid work so well?

This little razor works, in my opinion, because of its weight. It is quite a weighty little thing, unlike the male equivalent.

Then, when I started to use it on my underarms and legs, it felt as if nothing was happening. So, I had to do a double take to make sure that the hair was really gone. And it was! The hair just magically disappeared in one stroke.

This razor works. I used it on my legs and more intimate areas and have felt no razor burn, rashes or ingrown hairs. My skin is hairless and smooth and feels like it’s had time to breathe for the first time in years.

By changing my razor from one designed for males to the Estrid, my entire outlook on my own self care (when it comes to shaving and hair maintenance) has changed. I see now that I have been neglecting my own skin health in favour of ease and laziness. But no longer!

Estrid really has changed the way I shave and how my skin feels. Believe the hype, it’s all true!
