It goes without saying that 2021 has been a tough year for all. Another year of uncertainty, lockdowns, and restrictions has been hard-going but it’s also brought us all closer together – something I’m incredibly grateful for. When it comes to Christmas and gift buying, I wanted to go all out this year and spoil my mum. But, where do you start? Is there anything better than a festive smelling candle from my favourite candle brand, Yankee? No, there isn’t it.

I love that Boots is home to this infamous brand, it means that I can pop into town, peruse the store and treat my mum to a huge candle while also slipping one in my basket for myself.

Yankee Candle is hands down my favourite brand, their scents are unbeatable, the burn time is massive and the selections are second to none.

The Best Skincare

I am a skincare blogger through and through. I’d like to think that some of this has rubbed off on my mum – and she loves nothing more than a girly night with sheet masks and nails.

Boots are always my go-to for beauty brands and this Christmas is no exception for the best brands in-store and online.

Sheet masks make skincare easy and they also encourage some you-time. If you stick a soothing sheet mask on, you are forced to sit down for ten minutes, watch a bit of TV – or, if you’re like me, lie on your bed in a towel contemplating life.

Great skincare cheats are excellent for the mums who are constantly rushed off their feet. You can get them to sit down just for ten minutes and relax while the mask works its magic.

The main reason why I love Boots so much for creating bags of joy, stocking fillers, and buying large gifts is that I always stumble upon new brands and fall in love with them instantly.

I often go in-store thinking I’ll find one particular product or brand and then purchase. But, who am I kidding? Nine times out of ten, I lost my entire lunch break in store. wandering around. finding new brands and buying lovely gifts that feel personal and high-end.

Christmas means delicious treats, chocolates, and yummy biscuits with a cuppa. When I pop up to my Mum’s between Christmas and New Year, we often have a debrief over a cuppa with a few yummy biscuits – before moving on to a wine. This year, I’ll be sticking exclusively to tea and letting my mum have my wine for me!
