Hello sunshine, hello long evenings in the garden, hello sun kissed skin and hello getting creative with food!
Summer feels like it is finally here and I am one happy girl! I am loving being outside at every opportunity; my lunch break is filled with adventures throughout Windsor high street, my evenings are spent wondering to the local pub garden and my weekends are spent getting creative in the garden drenched in beautiful English summer sun!
This cute little picnic was all in aid of trying to mix up my summer diet with the help of Herbalife and their new delicious flavours!
I find it tricky to eat healthily a lot of the time. I am always wary of my weight and how I look and what I’d prefer to look like. But I am always and I mean constantly thinking about food. I just love food. It doesn’t have to be food that’s bad for you, if I had a bowl of fruit in front of me, I would just eat it all. I love food! It’s basically all I think about!
This means that I sometimes have to be super careful with food. As you already know, I am a bride to be. I am also a bridesmaid to be. It’s been an overwhelming time for me and my brain. I’ve had tears, I’ve had panic and I’ve had major doubts when it comes to picturing myself in a wedding dress and it’s bloody tiring let me tell you!
Luckily, with Herbalife, I have to be less careful, still as mindful but much less panicked when it comes to what I am putting into my body and the nutrients needed from them.
The new summer themed flavours from Herbalife also make my life much easier. I don’t really have a sweet tooth but I do love a tall glass of milk or a milkshake as a little treat. The new strawberry and summer berries flavours take that edge off for me!
To manage my weight I drink a delicious shake a day – not in a regimented style, I have one either before work with some fruit or in the early evening when I get in from work and I want to anything and everything. They taste incredible and give me that sugar fix that I need while also being jam packed with nutrients, vitamins and minerals!
With it being such gorgeous weather recently and also with so many wedding-type occasions coming up, I wanted to enjoy the fun of the sun but also not go crazy and fall into a hole of eating badly, feeling terrible and dreading the upcoming bridesmaid duties!
So, I pitched up my picnic blanket, made some semi-healthy sides, prepared a delicious salad and steak and swapped unhealthy options for a delicious Herbalife smoothie. And I have zero regrets! I felt great afterwards, I wasn’t bloated and I had no FOMO!
