Lockdown Escapism with The Perfume Society

Hello everyone, welcome to a piece of escapism that will transport you away from the world of the virus, news apps popping every five minutes and lockdown. Today I am sharing some beautiful scents from The Perfume Society’s newest subscription box! This month, it’s all about the Layering

As you can see, this month’s Luxury Layering box is jam packed with well known brands, samples and full sized perfume bottles for me to layer and try out.
Right now, any part of escapism that I can get, I jump at. Some of the scents will transport you to hot, sunny beaches and others will take you to tiki bars at dusk. It’s all we can do right now but The Perfume Society have got this down!

The focus of this brand is layering. It’s a fairly new concept in the perfume world and one, to be honest, that I wasn’t aware of before this box landed on my doorstep.
Back in the day, layering fragrances was about adding multiple fragrance sprays and spritzes from the same fragrance family to pressure points on your body. This would make the scents more durable, deeper and longer lasting.
These days, perfume layering is how you would create your own bespoke scent. These custom layered scents create their own identity and personality – you might have all of the same fragrances as the next person but the way in which you layer it upon yourself is completely bespoke to you – stay tuned for a Perfume Layering Guide coming very soon to LoveRosiee!

The Clean Reserve scents in this box have opened my eyes (and nose) to how easy it can be to layer scents from one brand in particular! These scents are exactly what they say on the tin – clean and fruity with a lingering after smell that is pleasant and light. I’ve been layering these two scents gingerly together to get me started and everyday I smell different but amazing!

The Kayali range (from the founders of Huda beauty) are super easy to later, the entire set sits in this box in minis so it’s easy to switch one out for another and see what tickles your pickle. I’d say that I am a girl that loves floral scents – Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream is my to go for the summer. However, I also love Decadence with its moody, deep and dark scents. This range kind of gives you the best of both of those worlds and you can layer to either darken or lighten your fragrance.

Molton Brown for me scream luxury! When my sister bought her house, a hand soap and lotion set was the first thing I bought her. I adore their homely sets and I am finding it super easy to mix and match fragrances with this Orange & Bergamot Body oil as a base!

When I’m finally allowed out of the house, I am going to smell like a dream. I’ll be walking past people and wafting around – people wont quite know what I smell like but it’ll be a dream!
