New Year, Same Skincare | Palmer’s Review

With the new year comes all that new year, new me crap. I, for one, am not here for it. We didn’t wake up on January 1st to no more COVID, plans suddenly happening and size 8. I woke up the same person and that’s ok. Another thing that will continue, regardless of the new year, is my love for Palmers! Here is what is new in this month!

New Year, Same Skincare | Palmers Review

I love Palmer’s. They a brand that just do it for me. In 2020, and in years previously, I’ve worked with them on some fun campaigns. This one is no different!

Palmer’s Coconut Oil Range

For me, skincare must have the right effect but it also should smell nice. That doesn’t mean that I want to flood my skin cells with fragrances and oils that will irritate it, and some brands don’t quite get that balance right.

Palmer’s Coconut Oil Range isn’t one of them.

The word oil may put you off but I promise you, it will change your life!

How often do you moisturise?

Are you like me and do it religiously, post-shower, before and often first thing in the morning if you feel extra tight? Not including sunshine holidays when I’m slipping around like an oil slick.

Are you like my sister? Moisturises when she remembers. When she does she waxes lyrical about how amazing her skin feels. She soon forgets her routine again and goes all crusty!?

Palmer's Coconut Oil Products

If you are either one of us, you will be amazed at the Coconut Oil range. It is perfect for all skin types. Although it is fragrant it isn’t over the top. And, even though it is an oil, you wont be feeling like you’ve fallen into the chip fryer at your local fish and chip shop.

Ways I Use Palmer’s Coconut Oil

  • Everyday post-shower moisturiser. Lots of on my body, less on my face. I have specific face creams that I rotate for different days during the month
  • Hair oil. I’m serious! Adding a tiny touch of this oil to your conditioner, leaving it in and then washing it out thoroughly has given me some of my shiniest hair days. I usually like to do this when away on holiday as I seem to have far more time to dedicate to myself!
  • After sun. Even when we’re stuck at home and the sun is shining, it’s important to use a healthy amount of moisturiser to ensure your skin stays healthy. I slick this bad boy on and my skin instantly feels soothed. It also helps me look golden for longer
  • Make up remover. I kid you not. My older sister used to use baby oil back when we were teenagers and her skin was always flawless. Glowing even. When I’m all out of micellair water (my favourite is Nivea), I dab a few reusable cotton swabs with Palmer’s Coconut Oil and it takes my make up gently and quickly. It’s also like a double cleanse – it removes make up while keeping your skin glowing and dewy at the same time!
  • Lip care. I use a lot of lip products. Currently I love Kear Life. But when I’m being lazy and in one room away from my trusted balms, I go for this coconut oil. A tiny amount on your fingertips gently massaged into your lips will leave them feeling hydrated and plump all day!

The Reason I Use Palmer’s Year In & Year Out

It’s simple really. Palmer’s are on budget, diverse in products, diverse in many many different uses and perfect for my combination skin.

I use Palmer’s skincare daily but if I feel like I need an extra boost, I’ll bathe myself in it a little extra.

In a world where self care and slowing down is literally one of the only things we can do to help ourselves in our own homes right now, this is what I do!

New Year, same incredible skincare with Palmers!

My sister also uses coconut oil because she says it really makes the skin glow, although I haven’t used any oil products on my face or skin. I think I can try it but the texture worries me that it would leave an uncomfortable feeling. I’m glad you found the most reliable skin care product for you, I agree with the things you need to account in orderto consider using a specific product. thanks for sharing! xx
