Five Years of LoveRosiee Blog!

I cannot believe, even as I write this, that LoveRosiee is now five years old! My amazing blog journey has flown by and five years feels like a blink of an eye. LoveRosiee’s fifth birthday is even more special this year because I’ve recently made the decision to go freelance and work more seriously on blogging for myself as well as for others! To celebrate 5 years of blogging as LoveRosiee, I wanted to reflect on some cool things that have happened and help other bloggers start their own blog! Happy blog birthday to me!

Reflections

When I first started this blogging journey it was because I had very little to do with my (very limited) spare time. I was 23 years old, enjoying my first job out of university but I wasn’t paid a lot and I had lots of part time jobs. Most days, I would leave the house at 8am and go to my main job, finish at 4:30 and head to an evening job and not be home much before 9pm. then every Saturday I worked in pubs and bars.

I had no real identity outside of my many jobs and my home. I wanted to access the creativity that had made me so happy in years before. I’d always enjoyed writing at school and scored A*s in my English GCSEs and As at A Level. I also loved taking photos of anything and everything.

LoveRosiee was born from a conversation with my mother in law, a brain storming session and some blogging inspiration. One day LoveRosiee was born and, as cheesy as it sounds, I’ve never looked back!

LoveRosiee & My Career

Five years since the beginning of my blogging journey and my jobs have changed quite a bit! I started as a special needs teacher, nannying and working behind a bar at the same time. Then I moved into content creation as well as bar work. I was then given an opportunity to work in digital marketing and content creation for large, household brands. More recently, I’ve moved into social and content editing for bloggers – and for me!

LoveRosiee has been at the heart of every opportunity I’ve had and worked for. In every interview I have had, LoveRosiee has been a focus point and this online channel has helped me secure lucrative deals and further my career quicker than I thought possible!

Niching My Content

Now that I am five years into blogging (with hopefully many more years ahead of me!), I can happily say that I feel like I have found my niche and my groove with blogging.

I am proud that people, bloggers, brands and non-bloggers, recognise my flatlay photos and see my brand before they’ve even seen the purpose of a particular shot. I always loved flatlay photography and I feel that I have by no means mastered it but I still love taking blog photos and sharing them! There’s nothing quite like that buzz before you share a really amazing shot!

Beauty and skincare were always things that I was interested in but in recent years, they have become hugely important to LoveRosiee! My skincare posts perform the best out of every category and my beauty posts from 3-5 years ago still get hits!

Beauty and influencers go hand in hand and I am really happy to continue to try out amazing skincare products from brands like Palmers, Antipodes, Nivea and so many more!

Looking Ahead With LoveRosiee

When I think of what the next few months and years could be like for me as a blogger, I am really excited! Things change very quickly in the blogging world but I have more confidence than ever about my abilities as a content creator and I am excited to see how social media changes things for us as creators and content consumers!

With Instagram introducing Reels, and things like TikTok these days, I think that content will be jumping out from the page more so than ever. I do hope that people come back to reading as much as they did five years ago but I am excited to experiment with new mediums and get creative!

I would love to cover more beauty and hone my skills as a beauty influencer and enjoy every part of blogging more. It can be so easy to get bogged down in the admin of blogging and miss the moments of enjoyment!

I’d love for my readers to continue to visit my little corner of the internet and I’d love to help more new bloggers find their passion and grow their channels!

I’ve worked with some incredible brands in 2020 but during the entire five years, I can’t wait to work with even more!
