In the name of beauty, prep, skincare and health are everything. You cannot pull off a new mascara if your lashes are damaged and breaking. False lashes will have a harder time staying put if you neglect the area around your eyes. For ease and in hope of a wonderfully warm next few months, this post is dedicated to my top lash growth products. Bring on bronze skin that only needs mascara and highlighter!

My Lash History

If you’ve ever visited my blog before, you’ll know that I’ve suffered with lash loss in my most stressed times. It’s no secret that when I feel desperately anxious or stressed, my eye lashes seem to disappear.

For this reason, I am super protective of them. They’re the one area that will show me how stressed I am before I even realise it. It’s vain and silly but when they grow back, I am so proud of being able to wear mascara and false lashes.

My Top Lash Growth Products

To get my lashes to grow back, I rely on outside factors as well as deliberately trying to remove stress from my life. This isn’t a new thing for me, it’s been happening since I was a child, so I’m a lash loss professional!

I depend on a few different lash products to help them grow back quickly but also thicker and more luscious.

Mavala Double Lash

Mavala are one of my favourite nail and skincare brands hands down.

I love so many of their items but I seriously swear by their Double Lash serum.

With a wand applicator like your regular mascara, this serum is easy to apply and the results can be seen quickly.

This lash serum is best used on clean lashes – I tend to apply mine in the morning on clean pre-moisturised skin & at night after my shower. You can leave it on overnight to work its magic while you sleep. Or you can leave it on long enough to dry and then apply your eye make up afterwards.

The bonus about this product (as with many of Mavala’s bits) is that it has multi-uses. You can use this little thing on your brows to encourage hair growth there too!

Mavala promise results after 2 months with prolonged use. I, however, have seen results much sooner!

Lilash Purified Lash Serum

I have worked with Lilash via the girls at Jaxon Wax & Nail Bar in central London for a few months. Initially, the goal was to try out this new lash serum ahead of my wedding last year.

Spoiler alert, the world fell into a pandemic and my wedding was postponed.

However, this lash serum was a real game changer for me over the first two lockdowns. Even though the world was stressful, daily news briefings were terrifying and my wedding was a big fat question mark, my lashes stayed put while using the Lilash serum.

I’m serious. No matter how much crying I did (and there was a lot of crying), how many times I rubbed my eyes and how many mornings I woke up expecting my eyes to bald, my lashes never faltered.

I genuinely think it was all down to Lilash!

The word I’d use to describe this product for lashes is: hydration.
