Stay Home With Femme Luxe

It’s not brand new information, but it is important information. We should all be staying at home as long as we can. The coronavirus has not disappeared over night and people are still really poorly, suffering and not able to live their best lives. Count me as one of them, my wedding has been postponed and due to some underlying health problems that I am fiercely private about, I’ve not been able to leave my house in just under three months – bar hospital trips which have been few and far between.
This week, I’ve hooked up with Femme Luxe to drive the point home – where we all should be!

So, it’s been, what 11 weeks since lockdown was announced? You already know that I gave up on normal clothes months ago and instead, I’m either in my pjs or dancing around the house and jumping into meetings in loungewear.

I am loving being more comfortable at work and at home and when I spotted these slogan t shirts on Femme Luxe, I had to get them!

Stay Home

I’ve had a lockdown birthday (what a way to see in my 28th year), postponed my dream wedding but had to live through the original wedding date and hold it together, I’ve had to miss seeing my amazing mum and sisters and I will miss my sister in law’s baby shower.

For the sake of all of us, just stay at home until this is over!

I got a large black shirt from Femme Luxe that simply says: Stay Home. The furthest I’ll be going is to put my bins out but it can serve as a reminder to my neighbours for now!

There’s No Place Like Home

Guys, I’m being honest. For me, there really is no place like home. I love being at home – before all of this, I was desperate to spend a bit more time in my home, my life was all rush and I never had a minute to enjoy everything we’d built.

I know that this is not the reality for a lot of people and I am so hopeful that anyone with a difficult home life can get the peace that they need during this time.

But, let’s be honest, there are worse places we could be held in – like prison, or a foreign country!

My home really is my castle, I work from home seemlessly, I blog from my sofa and I can sunbathe in my garden. I have it lucky.

But, this time will pass and we will soon be rushed off our feet, meeting people for lunches and coffee dates, London will be visited for bottomless brunch and we wont want to go home. But for now, there’s just no place like it!

Home Comforts

Summer, so far, has been incredible weather-wise! I have spent more time lying in my garden in a bikini than ever before and I am so thankful for the sunshine to break up the bleak moments.
June has started with some weather though – as I type this, I’m sat with a hot water bottle on my lap, fluffy socks on my feet and this big snuggly jumper wrapping me up – June, what are you playing at!?

But even though the weather stinks, we are safe at home, we can stick on a movie and order a take away and no one can judge us for it! We can (and I have) binge entire TV shows and we can get away with it!

These really are extenuating circumstances that I have been embracing – that wedding diet has gone right out of the window. But, the wedding will be there when this is over and there is plenty of time for me to sweat on the treadmill and eat plain chicken. While it rains outside, I am getting comfy and feeling thankful that I’ve not been struck down!
