My Most Popular Posts From 2022

2022, what a year. The most amazing year in my whole entire life, the year my life changed forever, the year I became a Mummy, the year I met my amazing little boy Jack, the year priorities shifted and changed. My blog has been my home for over seven years and for the first time ever, I took some time away to enjoy life, my new baby, my new life. I blogged on and off in those early maternity leave days but came fully back at the start of November. Now we’re nearing the end of the best year of my life, I wanted to share my most popular posts from the year and reflect on everything that has happened while also thanking you for continuing to show my posts so much love and support!

LIFE UPDATE: I HAD A BABY!

2022 was a big year for me but it all started back in 2021 when I was cooking my gorgeous little bubba. I constantly flipflopped over whether I would share my pregnancy, birth and life as a new mummy or not. When he arrived I switched the laptop off and embraced every second of maternity leave, cuddles and just being together and getting to know each other.

I was clueless before Jack arrived, I thought he’d sleep all the time and I’d be able to hop on and do lots of blog admin… how wrong could I be!?

This post was published months after his arrival, when I felt ready to finally share it all with my followers.

The reception was incredible. So many lovely well wishes, so many fellow mums reaching out and lots of positive feedback about my blog evolving to include more parenting style content.

EMMA’S DIARY FEATURE – I LIKE MY BABY BETTER NOW HE’S NO LONGER A NEWBORN

Writing for Emma’s Diary was a true highlight of the year for me. I’ve guest posted, blogged and shadow written for publications before but to be able to write for the platform I use every single week as a pregnant person and as a new mum was an honour.

I promised myself that I’d be honest in my writing, I wouldn’t sugar coat motherhood and I would be real to me. I wanted to help other mums in their hour of need and show them that they aren’t alone at a time when they may feel really vulnerable, alone and hopeless.

This post was a turning point in my writing career. It’s opened lots of amazing doors and opportunities for me and I am so proud of this piece of content!

CAKE MATERNITY GUEST POST: 5 WAYS YOU CAN SUPPORT A BREASTFEEDING MAMA

I have been breastfeeding and pumping to feed Jack since the moment he was born; it was always something I planned on doing and I naively thought it would be the most natural thing in the world. Wrong again.

When Cake Maternity reached out to me and asked to write about my breastfeeding experience, I jumped at the chance.

It was important for me to use my own positive and less than positive experiences in my post and I am really proud of the content created.

Since this post went live back in June, I’ve received hundreds of messages from new mamas asking for advice, wanting to rant and just wanting a friend. I’m proud to be that person for so many from my blog and writing!

AD – REFRESH YOUR SKIN THIS SPRING WITH BOOTS

I’ve worked with Boots a handful of times now and each time I’m always absolutely flabbergasted that they want to work with me. This Spring, I worked on a skincare themed post and was able to trial and test out some amazing products from Boots.

Skincare is so close to my heart (she says as she sits with a sheet mask on in her pjs watching Trolls on Netflix) and even more so now that I have about 4 seconds of me time per day.

Working with some of my favourite skincare brands made me feel like the old blogger was still in there. Each item received was used all summer long.

2022 REVIEW: REVIVE COLLAGEN & BEING PREGNANT

I loved being able to mix parenting content with creative brand reviews, skincare and beauty.

LoveRosiee was built on beauty, fashion and lifestyle way back seven years ago and although it looks very different now, those niches are in my heart and at the heart of everything I do.

Revive Collagen helped me feel and look human earlier this year. I took my time trying the products out (as I always do) and really slaved over putting the review together. I have always prided myself on my integrity and I’d never promote something I didn’t believe in or not be truthful.

Here’s To 2023!

I plan on taking some time off of publishing posts between Christmas and New Year in order to focus on getting creative and being inspired by life around me.

2023 is going to be a big year! I’ve already got some incredible opportunities in the running that I can’t wait to share and I am excited for my blog to continue to evolve as I do: a new mummy, a female in my thirties, a freelancer and someone who works in influencer marketing.

Stay tuned, there is so much more to come!
